what impact that had on your appreciation for harmonies. >> they were a decent harmony band. steve and neil were in buffalo springfield, also great holiday -- harmony band's. putting our voices together, it changed all of our lives instantly. what ever they have vocally was born in less than a minute. we didn't have to rehearse it. it is so unbelievably good to us as musicians. we had to start laughing in the middle of the song because it was silly how these voices came together instantly to create something much bigger than themselves. you could not have written a book without talking about joni mitchell, the relationship that you had. >> i had met joni a couple of months earlier, and we made a vow to each other that we would see each other if we could. i flew from london to los angeles to be with joni. at dinnerstephen were that night. they just finished reversing into part harmony. really, a great song. had my harmony down and i had my recognition of that body language, how they are breathing and moving. that made the thing that made us laugh so deeply. i had to leave the band t

january. he was in court in moscow today, where a top dancer is on trial for the assault. steve rosenberg has more. >> he had been badly burned and nearly blinded. the bolshoi ballet's artistic director nine months ago. someone had thrown sulfuric acid into his face. now he had the chance to confront his alleged assailants. cameras crash of tv outside the courtroom, you could tell the drama inside would be as gripping you had ever seen on the stage of the bolshoi. because among those on trial here is one of the ballet troupe's own dancers. he is accused of organizing the attack. he is said to have felt seething resentment toward his boss. here in court, he described the accused as a talented dancer who he had promoted, but who had turned against him. he angrily rejected claims by the dancer that as artistic director he had taken bribes or had relations with some of the ballerina. the bolshoi has always been one of the jewels in russia's crown. this court case is a huge embarrassment and shines a spotlight on a murky backstage jealousy,ealously -- fierce rivalry, and revenge. but

steves, back with more of the best of europe. this time, we're in north wales, splitting slate, exploring castles, and steaming up mountains. thanks for joining us. wales' top historical, natural, and cultural wonders are found here in the north. from towering mount snowdon to evocative castles to sweeping victorian promenades -- it's a poem written in landscape. i think this area has as much sightseeing diversity and interest as any place in britain. we'll mountain climb on a steam train, learn some welsh...
